ATTENDING A COUNCIL MEETING

Ok, we promise this one isn’t scary either. Here are tips and tricks to make your voice heard at town council meetings.

faq

  • The Commission meets at the Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building, 710 Washington Road, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 8pm. Meetings are held in the Commission Chambers in the municipal building, first floor.

  • This is where decisions that impact our community are made - use the power of your words to create change! Residents are welcome to attend and have five minutes to address the Commission during the public comment period at the beginning of the meeting. There is a sign-in sheet on the table in the back of the room, add your name to be called up during the public comment session. Have more questions? Contact us!

  • Make the most impact you can in five minutes or less by organizing your thoughts in advance. Write it out, focus on your main point and it’s totally cool to bring neighbors and friends along to support/speak with you! Children are welcome [extra points!] to speak, just add them to the sign-in sheet.

  • Don’t be shy - keep showing up! The more the Commission hears from you the more likely you are to acheive your goal! Organize with your nieghbors and pack the room!
